Training Programs Introduction to Object Relations SeminarDesigned for practitioners and students with a beginning to intermediate familiarity with psychodynamic ideas, this course will provide participants with an introduction to the basic concepts of Object Relations theory; the major theorists responsible for developing Object Relations theory and therapy; and the primary techniques for conducting Object Relations therapy. Students will be invited to bring cases for feedback from the instructors and fellow students. A small group, based on the affective learning model (for more information, see www.theipi.org), will be offered immediately following each class in which participants will have the opportunity to work with the new material in an emotionally deep and lively manner.
